Our Grand Opening was attended by over 120 people, including Chief Andy Thomas, the Mayor of Esquimalt, the Mayor of View Royal, as well as many family and friends, art lovers and the curious.
The Mayors and Chief Thomas all spoke, wishing Darlene well and acknowledging the hard work that went into making the gallery a reality.
Darlene shared a bit about herself as an artist, and shared the meaning or inspiration behind a number of paintings.
Musicians Dan Anies and Ed Peekekoot finished off the event with a bit of their music.
